The Brownsville Independent School District is pleased to announce three new leadership appointments that will strengthen district operations, campus leadership, and student support services.

Ms. Petra Torres has been named Director of PEIMS. With more than 20 years of experience in campus leadership, instructional support, and PEIMS operations, Ms. Torres will lead the district's efforts to ensure accurate student data, state reporting compliance, and informed decision-making across Brownsville ISD.

Mr. Eduardo "EJ" Martinez Jr. has been appointed Principal of Paredes Elementary School. A dedicated educator with 35 years of service in Brownsville ISD, including 29 years in administrative leadership, Mr. Martinez officially assumes the role after serving as Interim Principal and most recently as Assistant Principal at Faulk Middle School.

Mr. Manuel Charles Jr. has been named Emergency Management Coordinator. With more than 22 years of experience in school-based law enforcement and emergency response, Mr. Charles will oversee the district's emergency management initiatives, working to enhance campus safety and emergency preparedness across Brownsville ISD.
